Frequently Asked Questions.

What flowers do you grow on the farm?

In 2026 we are growing some new varieties along with most of our regulars. The cool season hardy annuals (this means they bloom in the early spring and very early summer) includes campanulas, stock, ranunculus, snapdragons, scabiosa, nigella, bachelor buttons, bells of Ireland, bupleurum, orlaya, and maybe a few others. We have over 150 peony bushes that bloom in late April / early Mary and we loved the pink and white flowers they produce. Once it warms up, we grow warm season tender annuals that will include lisianthus, celosia, zinnias, sunflowers, dill bouquet, and basil. Our perennials include yarrow, eucalyptus, echinacea, hypericum, and dahlias. Our woodies include a variety of young hydrangeas. We also have plans to plant additional woodies and lavendar!

Do you grow in a greenhouse?

We do not grow in a greenhouse, but we recently installed a high tunnel (2025). This will allow us to extend our growing season so we will have flowers earlier in the spring and later into the Fall. Some flowers grow best in a protected environment so we will be trialing stock, ranunculus and lisianthus, to name a few, in the tunnel. We will let you know how it goes!

How do I make my flowers last longer in a vase?

The best things to do to make your flowers last as long as possible include:

  • buy fresh cut locally grown flowers . . . we constantly hear from our customers that their flowers lasted close to two weeks!

  • change the water at least every other day (some flowers are heavy drinkers!)

  • keep them away from heat sources, strong sunlight and fruit

  • strip all leaves off the stems that will be below the water line

  • trim the ends of the stems a little every few days

  • add a little bit of the package of flower food you receive with your flowers each time you change the water (in addition to flower food, it also provides an antibacterial to help keep the water clean)

. . . and know that some flowers simply have a longer or shorter vase life than others.

Do you do special orders?

We are happy to help you with special orders, depending on what is needed. For instance, we are happy to make up a special bouquet or arrangement, straight bunches, buckets for special DIY events, and we even deliver to some locations. However, we do not do full-service weddings at this time.
